Indie pop-rocker Drew Tarves croons about things he experiences - a hopeful and honest perspective on the highs and lows of youth is embedded in his lyrics. On "soft light", he takes more of an intimate approach, expressing his feelings in a delicate, yet personalized manner. In his own words, he says "It's sort of a love letter to someone and all the little things about them that make them special. It's quiet, and feels a bit like reading someone's journal." With gentle guitar chords and entrancing drums, "soft light" was produced by David Marinelli (Jawny, Aidan Bissett).
