Bestfriend was half-formed through a mutual friend and half-formed through Instagram DMs in 2018. The indie-pop duo is a culmination of two young artists, Stacy Kim and Kaelan Geoffrey, making music from thousands of miles apart; Stacy in the west, Kaelan in the east. Their debut ep, places i’ve lived has received accolades from the likes of Under The Rader, EARMILK, Exclaim! and The Line of Best Fit, amassing over 1,500,000 streams within the first 4 months of release. ““Love Always Came So Easy For You” is about all of those people who never seem to be able to make up their minds about how they feel, or where they want to be. That friend who constantly says they'll show up to the party, but bails an hour in. The person who says they've never loved anyone like they love you, and then says the same to every person after you. That said, not about a specific person so much as the concept of a type of person that feels ubiquitous; a lot of this also includes the way Kaelan and I feel about ourselves sometimes!” says Stacy.
