"Come Down" was written in early 2019, shortly after Bayonne's father's cancer diagnoses. At that time, he was also going through a very difficult breakup. The track reflects on a conversation between Roger and his partner during a really distressed time, where they did not know if they were going to continue their relationship. The abrasive lyrics, alarming synthesizers, and exasperation captured in the song reflects the stressful period from which the song was born. A performance pseudonym of experimental musician Roger Sellers, Bayonne incorporates voice, synths, looping, effects, acoustic percussion, and more into his ultra-layered, textured songs. After releasing a handful of albums under his own name in the early 2010s that explored an electro-acoustic avant-folk, Sellers started going by Bayonne for his more electronics-based work. His upcoming album "Temporary Time" is set to release May 26th, 2023.
