'Back Then, Computer Sound' is the Mel Blue mission statement. In their words, 'Since we started making music together, we have always drawn from our nostalgia. As time has gone on, exactly what and why this is has become clearer. We are on a search to recreate and represent the feelings we had when we first heard electronic dance music as kids. The joy, euphoria, warmth, and simplicity of loops that cycle on and on in this sound have helped us make sense of the world and our place in it. In our own songs, we are always seeking to draw from the back-then-computer-sound. This single is our celebration of, and love letter to, the disco-inspired, horn-section filled and relentlessly joyful house music of the 90s and 2000s.
