WICKED lives for rock n’ roll. The kind that lights a fire in your blood and puts that crazy in your eyes! And the proof is certainly within their new album, ‘The Last American Rock Band, The band Wicked is looking to stand tall amid the national music scene. Of course, that’s much easier to do when you’re standing on six-inch platform shoes. Start with the larger-than-life energy of KISS, add the glam rock style of Ziggy Stardust and the theatricality of Alice Cooper, and top it all off with the power-pop of ’80s hair metal. Only then will you get an idea of the Wicked vibe. Wicked began in 2012 when two Utica brothers, singer-guitarist Chad Michael and bass player Danny Doll joined with drummer JP Clubs and guitarist Scotty V. They set out to recapture the bombast and sizzle of ’70s music, specifically the arena rock scene. Clubs had to step down recently after suffering severe headaches and vertigo when he played (he’s doing well, I’m told) and was replaced by Gunnar Coston.
