Vian Izak (Vee-on Isaac) creates heartfelt music combined with stories.
His first release, Revolver (2016), along with the subsequent remixes has accumulated millions of streams. Being originally from South Africa, Izak incorporates sounds from his home country which can be best heard on Brink of Love (2016) featuring Grammy winning group Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
In 2018, he released his first album Northern Anthems with indie hit The London Air Raids. Nominated for two Independent Music Awards, Northern Anthems was paired with a fantastical sci-fi 28 page comic book which launched the Vian Izak Universe with characters like I the AI, The KUDU, along with the concept of 2D Time.
Vian released his second album The Navigator in 2019 with another comic story introducing a wormlike monster and a star-being. The comic story was integrated into the album using Spotify’s Canvas tool. Izak collaborated with fellow artist Juniper Vale on Call the Nightingale which quickly became the most popular song off of the record.
In 2021, Vian released his third studio album Flight of the Aeronaut, achieving 1.2M streams a week after the release in March. The album includes a folky collaboration with Davide Rossi (Coldplay, Royksopp, Goldfrapp) titled Sangre de Cristo which has become the most popular song off the new record.
Izak receives millions of streams a year and continues to spread his infectious sound.
