He left his parents at the age of 12 to go to France (Tours) and then to the U.S. (NY) after high school and returned to Japan. After graduating from Keio University, he started his career as a composer in 2016. He has been producing music and designing sound for fashion shows, commercial facilities, and hotels. He has produced many songs with Jua and is working as a pianist for Osteoleuco (Osteoleuco) since 2019. 2021, in the global project "PLAYER PLUS STUDIO SESSIONS: POWERED BY FENDER®" sponsored by Fender Inc. Grand Prix. In the same year, he joined the sound design team SOUND CoUTURE. Shimon started lofi-surf with his father Rinne Hoshino, a jacket designer, based on surfing, which is a part of Shimon's lifestyle, and has been selected in many Spotify global playlists "lofi beats" from around the world. Therefore, he has been broadcasting podcasts for overseas listeners mainly on Spotify since March 2022, answering various questions in English with the sound of waves as background music.
