1997-1998 (as Erección), 1998-2000 (as Excreción Oral), 2000-present "Picha" (pronounced /ˈpit͡ʃa/ or /ˈpe:t͡ʃə/ ) is a slang word in Costa Rica (and Spain) for "penis"; it can be translated as "cock". In Picha’s early days the group molded their theme around humorous content; particularly black comedy and parodies of the Costa Rica music scene. To avoid controversy, the members used pseudonyms to hide their identities on these albums. Despite this, the band openly opposes fascism, male chauvinism, and pedophilia.
