He is a frequent collaborator of songwriter-singer Joan Shelley, occasional guitar-duo partner to James Elkington, and has contributed to recordings by Shirley Collins, Bonnie "Prince" Billy, the Weather Station, and Jake Xerxes Fussell, among others.
