GROOVE DA PRAIA - Brazil Bossa Nova - Boa Onda, Boa Musica
Boa Onda, Boa Musica (Good vibes, good music) is the motto of this ensemble group from Porto Alegre in the south of Brazil. You’ll most often find them playing flute, a keyboard, guitar and drums though they have been know to bring native instruments like the caxixi to the studio. While they have a few vocalists with whom they work frequently, they often call on singers to record just one or two songs for each album, preferring to let the instruments tell the story of their new take on a classic. They have been living in Ocho Rios, Jamaica for the past few years, refining their reggae skills and living the good life. When they do return to Brazil, they like to stop in Rio de Janeiro on their way home and catch up with Amazonics who can usually be found on the beach near Leblon.
