Goblin

The Goblin group was founded by Claudio Simonetti and Massimo Morante in 1973. After early recording experiences in London (already with caliber collaborations, such as with producer Eddie Offord), and after the addition of Fabio Pignatelli, in 1974 the group returned to Italy and obtained a contract with Cinevox Record.  The turning point came when Cinevox proposed them to Dario Argento for the soundtrack of his film "Profondo Rosso." After recording the soundtrack, the group changes its name to "Goblin" and records the main tracks, including the famous "Profondo Rosso." The success is huge, with the soundtrack selling one million copies in the first year alone.  In the following years the group's lineup continues to change, involving Maurizio Guarini on keyboards and Agostino Marangolo on drums in the project and continuing to work on new soundtracks, again with the support of Cinevox. LPs are produced including "Roller," "Suspiria" and Dario Argento's "Zombi," achieving further international success.  Various vicissitudes lead to the group's separation and various reunions over the years, with formation changes and solo projects by the original members. However, over time, Goblin continued to perform around the world, releasing new albums and enjoying success both live and in the studio.  In 2018, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the soundtrack of the film "Dawn of Dead," the band focuses on the release of the album "Fearless," thus continuing their artistic journey and their impact on music culture.
