About Florenza

Brazilian born singer-songwriter Florenza started her musical passion at the age of 4, when she first heard her mom singing karaoke. Not knowing English yet, she would listen to and mimic the sounds of idols Celine Dion and Whitney Houston. After moving to Miami at the age of 8, Florenza immediately began vocal lessons with Grammy Award-Winning voice coach and producer Jose Miguel Velasquez, who produced her first two demos. At 15, she was invited by Rudy Perez (Christina Aguilera, Beyoncé) to sing background for over 25 Disney songs in Portuguese for Disneys 100 Years of Magic in São Paulo, Brazil. She was still in school at the time, a magnet high school where she was a part of the Performing Arts program. In 2008, she recorded in Mix Studios in Miami, Florida, a song called "Love Me Forever", produced and written by the Fliptones (Britney Spears, Lil Wayne), and Jason Derulo. She has won numerous singing competitions, has performed for sports games, charity events, and has performed along with many other musicians. She has experience singing and performing in all genres, and in many different languages. Florenza plays piano and guitar, and writes all of her own music. Florenza discovered her passion for songwriting when she first started at Berklee College of Music. Along with her producer, Sergio Marte, they came up with original beats that have a dance and Latin vibe fused together to create a sound that will get your body going, along with some heart-felt ballads. Florenza wants to create music that people can connect with in every level, with the help of her Brazilian roots mixed into some of her songs. Her first album "Cant Describe" is now available on iTunes, along with the first single "Heartbreaker" featuring remixes by The Krafters and Manny Lehman. You can also watch the official "Heartbreaker" music video on YouTube.
