Origin Northampton, England Genres hard rock Years active 2016-present Labels Kscope MPYRE are a hard rock band from Northampton, England formed in 2016 by vocalist Henrik Steenholdt and lead guitarist David "Did" Coles. They released their first album Self Aware in 2019 and an acoustic version The Other Side in 2021. EMPYRE signed to the record label Kscope [1] [2] in late 2022 and announced their second album Relentless will be released in early 2023. [3] [4] EMPYRE was recognised as "Ones to Watch" by the UK's Planet Rock (radio station) in June 2019 [5] and had a 'High Hopes' feature in Classic Rock (magazine) September, 2019 issue #267. [6] The band were awarded "Track of the Week" by Classic Rock three times. [7] [8] [9] The band have also had regular airplay on BBC Music Introducing [10] and Planet Rock.
