London-based producer and DJ Effy grew up in the North West of England listening to the high energy sounds of artists like The Chemical Brothers and The Prodigy. Effy was named as one of Pete Tong's Rising Stars and has attained blanket support on BBC Radio 1 & Radio 6 with Mary Anne Hobbs. Her debut EP Not What It Seems sees Effy stepping into the sounds she turns to when she DJs, as well as hearing that Prodigy influence with acid, rave and broken beat sounds. She has so far played across some iconic venues and festivals such as Fabric, The Warehouse Project, Amensia Ibiza, Printworks and has recently just finished a tour in Australia and Japan. This year sees a string of releases and exciting collaborations to come.
