From a young age, she has always been enthralled in the arts and music, from playing instruments, singing, dancing, all the way through to theater, she was born to perform! CAMZ’s interest in music was fuelled further by a teenage aunt who introduced her to dance music back in the 90’s, and an obsession with vinyl ensued. Records such as The Bucketheads (Kenny Dope) - The Bomb became the prodigy child’s favorite jams and sowed the seeds for her future as a DJ. Her musical journey took her across the globe, living in cities like LA and Sydney before settling in London. There, she founded a Digital Marketing agency, allowing her to rub shoulders with electronic music’s elite. Her global travels and exposure to diverse cultures have deeply influenced her sound, leading to a unique blend of Latin-infused House, Baile Funk, Chicago House, Hip-Hop, and Breakbeats. CAMZ’s latest releases SAUDADE, out on Nervous Records, and ‘Respeita As Mina’, out on Jamie Jones’ Hottraxx, got handpicked by Jaguar as the Dancefloor Moment, and played by Jeremiah Asiamah on BBC Radio 1.
