Born and raised in Tennessee, Elijah “Bleaux” Buras has rose as both a rapper and producer in the Nashville hip-hop scene. Self-taught as a maker of lo-fi beats and EDM, Bleaux released his earliest material on SoundCloud until the release of Intergalactic Ghost Federation in 2019, a concept album of instrumentals arranged and conceived as the soundtrack for a video game. In 2020, the EP Aggro would showcase a dark and violent “horrorcore” aesthetic spearheaded by the addition of his abrasive voice and lyrical content. Ballistic and volatile, Bleaux’s music exhibits a love for the dissonant as well as the danceable, utilizing thumping rave beats that shake furniture and epileptic hooks that frighten parents — all set to vocals that swap between bratty MC diatribes to visceral punk-rock howls. Bleaux would optimize this style in 2021 for the album Grasshopper, a longer and more compact demonstration of his ideas in both rap and EDM. It Serves as testament to his power
