Apes of the State is an independent folk-punk 4 piece hailing from Lancaster, PA. Established in 2015, they have released 1 full length album, "This City Isn't Big Enough," and completed countless tours across the US and Canada, earning them a small and growing cult following in the DIY folk punk community. Their songs have been known to make people cry out of laughter, happiness, sadness, or all 3. Their 2nd full length album "Pipe Dream," releases on Nov 16th, 2019. The members are also heavily involved in activism for people recovering from substance use disorder. In 2016, April and Dan founded an organization called Second Chance to Play which aims to help individuals in rehabs and in recovery communities participate in the music scene of their hometown Lancaster.
