In 2016, Aaron enjoyed his first Top ten hit with the single “Woman In Love,” a song he wrote for his then finance (now wife) but it wasn’t until the summer of 2017 and the release of “Lonely Drum” that things started to explode. The single became the inescapable smash hit of the summer with over one million YouTube views on the video and 5 million streams. “Lonely Drum” became the only Canadian country single released in the past two years to be certified platinum. The result was three 2018 CCMA nominations for SiriusXM Rising Star (for the second consecutive year), Single of the Year and Songwriter of the Year for “Lonely Drum.” Aaron spent the spring of 2018 in Nashville working on material for his new album.
