In a corner of my mind I found a refuge, where every second of life feels worth itself. My appreciation for this moment has been the foundation for writing We Hold. As i tried to repeat this meditation i became aware of my longing for infinity. Being able to understand myself led to an unexpected optimism that sings to me with a wise sounding voice. Like a child with tender power and a clear vision i play the game of life where when we get tired we just stop, we hold. Putting the music down to paper was a long process that spawned echoes of this experience giving me all kinds of moods. Kevin Williams’ voice came to this project as a first born, my old friend never sung until I showed him this work. He quickly aligned to the essence of We Hold and added this smooth and sweet sound that came to build community, that feeling we are not alone. The Remix by Landhouse arose before my third eye before i heard it. He gave the song a new face that tells the same story. The sweetness it expresses makes me realise that music connects us and we are united by our stories. Thank you Benjamin.
