Glaswegian Techno pioneers Slam are back on Soma with their first full EP release of 2024 with the stripped back and driving Wave Expansions EP. Hot of the back of their wildly acclaimed 'Exhibit' VAs, the duo once again stamp their authoritative sound across this expertly produced, 4 track EP. Title track 'Wave Expansions' opens the EP with trippy, electrified synths driving the core of the track before 'Reprove' delves deeper and darker with a gradually building lead that delivers the tension. 'Retract' is a perfect example of Slam's mastery of minimalism as the 'less-is more' approach gives a subtly driving output.
