"Ukiyo" stands for floating, fleeting or transient world. It refers to a state of mind that is emphasising living in the moment, detached from the difficulties of everyday life. This has been a recurring concept for me while working on ambient music. I always lose track of time when sketching out soundscapes and diving into atmospheres. It also feels really good to share these sketches on the day they emerge. I hope it makes your mind escape our hectic world for a brief moment too :)
