John Hayes is a pianist and producer from Minneapolis, Minnesota, and currently resides in Denver, Colorado. First known for his delicate piano works, recent releases, such as his Nettwerk debut Beautifully Lost Mind. Since his debut he has expanded on his spacious piano compositions and move into a more intricate layered harmonic territory full of neo-classical stylings and electronic influences ranging from trance to experimental dance. Max Dutcher is a producer from Missoula, Montana, who primarily creates experimental ambient and electronic music. He's known best for his heavy beat-driven electronic productions as well as ethereal long-form soundscapes. Hayes and Dutcher met in 2018 and immediately found a deep respect for each other's work. In 2020 they joined forces releasing their first collaborative LP, Borealis, which was an acclaimed release in the electronic genre. Twinsleep is a complete departure from the duo's beat-centric Borealis. This is the groups forthcoming self-titled LP Twinsleep. The album fuses rich textures and soothing drones crafted by a 100-year-old restored harmonium, synthesizers, piano, and xylophone, the duo shared files for over a year, remotely crafting the album.
