‘Trick of the Light (Acoustic Version)’ is an acoustic version of one of Tom Speight’s tracks from his ‘Love & Light’ 2023 album release. Co-written with Matt Hales (Aqualung, Lianne La Havas), this stripped-down version includes catchy vocals, acoustic guitar, piano and trumpet. According to Tom Speight: "‘Trick of the Light’ was one of the quickest songs I’ve ever written.’ Speight's hallmark romanticism being evident: "It’s a song about the initial meeting of someone when they seem out of this world... the feeling of, is this person even real?" With the original single gaining almost 60k Spotify streams in under 6 months, this acoustic version presents an even more authentic version to fans. Tom has just finished his UK tour and is headed to Brazil for several live dates there.
