This edition of Thorns Vs Emperor includes 3 bonus tracks. The first song is a rare version of Thorns’ ‘You that Mingle May’ with Satyr and Fenriz of Darkthrone on vocals. Also included are 2 pre-production versions of the Thorns songs ‘Ærie Descent’, and ‘The Discipline of Earth’. Full lyrics for the Thorns songs are also included on this release for the first time. Recording information: Thorns tracks (2 & 6 to 8) recorded with Cubase, mixed at Fagerborg Studio. Emperor track 4 was recorded and mixed at Akkerhaugen Lydstudio the spring/summer 1998. Emperor tracks 1, 3 & 5 was recorded and mixed at Symphonique during the spring/summer 1998. The organ used on Emperor's performance of "Ærie Descent" is a Chicago Cottage reed-organ from 1829 CE.
