Showing the first public signs of life around a year ago, Pleaser has already been pointed to by many as a fresh new voice on the punk scene with their emotionally driven, catchy and intense take on the punk genre. Pleaser is steam rolling noise and sing-alongable tunes, headless aggression in shrill voices and hooky duet singing. Describing the discords and delights of being human through jumbled, chaotic conjurings, the lyrics permit listeners unrestrained interpretation on their words. The band consists of two guitars and double lead vocals fronted by Annie Nyvold and Sophie Lien Lake, with drums and bass from prominent art metal heads Oliver Nehammer and Olle Bergholz.
