The Dark Sides is a 6-song compilation EP featuring 6 early King Diamond tracks from various sources. "Halloween" comes from his solo debut, Fatal Portrait. "Them" comes from his third album, "Them". "No Presents For Christmas" and "Shrine" were both b-sides, while "The Lake" and "Phone Call" were basically studio outtakes that later showed up as bonus tracks on the CD issues of Fatal Portrait and "Them", respectively.  　Swedish edition of the theatrical death metal act's 1988 album.
