The original recording of Adrian Lux’s "Teenage Crime" has a very dear place in our heart. For so many people about our age, this song soundtracked first-time house parties, sneaking out, drinking in a park, and first loves. There is something about it that perfectly encapsulates what it was to be an adolescent in the early 2010s. Maybe more than any other recording, the feeling and undeniable aesthetic of "Teenage Crime" represents what we are trying to achieve in our own music. We chose to cover this song so we could learn lessons from the original, but also so that we could dip into its nostalgia whilst reimagining new elements in the production.
