Founded by Tobias Wilner in 1999, the group burst onto the stage with a sound that seamlessly blends trip-hop, electronic, ambient and dream pop. This 23-track album celebrates the earliest years of Blue Foundation, 1999-2002, containing both remastered and alternative tracks from the band’s debut album plus previously unreleased b-sides and remixes. Remixes include a Blue Foundation remix of a Princess Superstar original, “Untouchable”, featuring Beth Orton. The band debuted with the singles ”Hollywood” & ”Hide” released through the Moshi Moshi label in 2000. Their self-entitled debut album, released in 2001, not only reshaped the sounds of trip-hop and electronic music but also set them on a path that led to celebrated albums and hits like “Sweep Of Days” and “Eyes On Fire”. Paying homage to their origins, Blue Foundation unveils a sonic retrospective with "Selected Work 1999-2002" — 23-tracks featuring remastered gems and alternative tracks from the debut album, alongside previously unreleased b-sides and remixes. This musical time capsule not only showcases the band's evolution but also pays homage to the pivotal years that set the stage for their enduring impact on the global music scene.
