The "Salamina" EP traces its roots back to the serene landscapes of Salamina, an island just off the coast of Athens. It was here that the seeds of inspiration were sown, marking the beginning of a creative journey for Plàsi, an artist with a unique blend of Swedish and Greek heritage. The title track, "Salamina," signifies a significant leap in artistic evolution, embodying the courage to step outside familiar sonic boundaries and embrace a new direction. The island's raw and unfiltered essence encouraged a reliance on instinct rather than replicating past sounds. Salamina, a rural island adjacent to the cosmopolitan capital of Athens, offers a profound yet unassuming wisdom about life and its natural beauty. It teaches that happiness doesn't stem from perfection but from honesty and the enjoyment of small moments without lofty expectations. In this environment, brimming with mysterious feelings and unexpected views, the idea of the EP was born, with the title track "Salamina" at its heart. This setting encouraged a fresh perspective and prompted a creative leap. “When we started writing it, something special happened. It was different from anything I’d done before. It became the basic idea of what I wanted to write around. The journey began with this song on Salamina," Plàsi says.
