Speaking of the track Beth (Litany) says, "For many years I was in denial about how bad my mental health had gotten. My family were pulling their hair out watching me deteriorate and tried to help but I wasn’t having any of it. Of course I was suffering but I wasn’t about to admit it and hated how the topic of my wellbeing was so frequently visited at the family dinner table. Sadgirl is a denial dancehall banger and the “I told you so” anthem for parents everywhere."
