Requiem to Who I Used to Be is Will's sophomore album noting his rebirth from the ashes of crisis, like the fabled phoenix. The album has tinges of hip hop, soul, pop and indie rock and documents Will parting from grief and trauma to become a new, resilient version of himself. The BBC backed artist has laid bare a suicidal crisis and mental health issues in this explicitly honest account of becoming a better person. With influences of John Mayer, Tom Misch, Valley and joan, Will is set to release this 16 track epic on the 18th August and looks to really diversify his sound and stake his claim as an underrated contender in the UK Alt Pop music scene. Battling addiction, PTSD and a personality disorder, Will is putting this project out into the world to inspire other people with mental health issues that they can become empowered and break free of the reigns that restrict them, much like other public artists like Lewis Capaldi has done. With stripped versions and acoustic takes of his hit tracks, Will has transformed grief and trauma into a striking and artistically complete album which documents his ascendance into a new, final form. Highlights 'Counting Down the Time', 'Pills' and 'I've still got a ways to go' have been played on BBC Radio, backed by indie blogs and featured on Freeview national television in the UK.
