Philippians 1:18b-26 Desire

Philippians 1:18b-26 Desire

Listen/ to live is Christ/ and to die is gain/ Give me a minute to explain just how my mind is trained/ Though I’m constrained behind these bars/ I will not be ashamed/ Cuz live or die/ I rest assured Christ is glorified either way/ I can’t look at this plight with cold indifference/ Because the fruit it produces is so beneficent/ Just considering all your prayers while I’m sitting here/ The Spirit of Christ will make it work out for my deliverance/ I know it/ so i stay focused on the implications/ I won’t let go of the hope that i will be vindicated/ Whether in death or in life/ Christ gonna get the praise And sitting patient lets the witnesses know it’s no innovation/ Courage/ that’s how he told me to stand/ So I’ll be hopeful/ and boast solely in holding your hand/ Not letting go/ stay focused all on your glorious plan/ Cuz when I’m lowered in dust/ trust I’m at home with the Lamb Ok/ to live is Christ/ and to die is gain/ Give me a minute to explain just how my mind is trained/ Cuz to remain means true fruitful endeavors/ For you/ useful and better/ To choose is proving the pressure/ Cuz my desires to depart and be at home with Christ/ I know what’s coming/ so I’m running to let go of life/ I’ve always held this reality with a loose hand/ It can’t compare to what’s coming up in that new land/ That being said I know it’s needful for you/ So I’ll remain and continue on for your joy in the truth/ So you’ll have ample cause to glory even more in the root/ And keep branching out while awaiting my coming to you To live is Christ/ and to die is gain/ Give me a minute to explain just how my mind is trained/ I’ve been sustained through pain chains and enslavement/ Just waiting on my arraignment in patience cuz he ordained it/ Never complaining/ amazement was on their faces As they gazed in my direction and questioned how I could take it/ These lacerations do nothing but sing your praises/ I’m coming to you again so you’ll sing his praises/ Anticipating sitting peaceful at home/ But had to recall what I’d written about love not seeking its own/ If what you see in me is seemingly a beacon of hope/ Then best believe we’ll see each other/ just believe that it’s so
