Pengabdi Abadi was recorded back in 2003-2004, along with another track titled Fanaq, by the band, Srilangsuir as a demo release for them to land gig jobs. Srilangsuir was the name of the band before changing their name to Kraton, after experimenting a new subgenre, Symphonic Metal and fused ethnic Javanese music element into their music. Srilangsuir was founded in 1997 playing covers ranging from international metal band such as Metallica and Iron Maiden, and regional metal bands such as XPDC, Rockers and Rusty Blade. They competed in several band competitions and performed a few local gigs. In 2007, as Kraton, the band added two new additions to their personnel; a female vocalist and a keyboardist.
