Grammy-nominated German producer veteran, Shuko, and 20-year-old beatmaker & pianist, Ornithology come together to form the duo - Naptunes. The duo have never met each other in person, only collaborating online via the internet from two different parts of the world. The Naptunes project was created as an outlet to fall back in love with music, in a pressure free environment. Every weekend during the summer, Ornithology and Shuko got on Zoom for sessions that lasted hours where they talked about life and made music together. About focus track "Greened Out", the duo says, "With energetic drums and a soulful piano sample, Naptunes comes back with a lot of energetic and groovy song to debut their first, self-titled EP. Naptunes started with two friends making a lot of music together from vastly different backgrounds who would've never met if it weren’t for the internet. The Naptunes project reminds the duo, who have fulfilling careers as solo artists, why they love music. Collaboration has always been something Ornithology and Shuko have been really passionate about, and what has always made the creative project so fun for them. The goal for this project was to make great beats and have as much fun while making them."
