French producer duo il:lo based in France and Germany, embodies a yin and yang style of complementary forces while working remotely by exchanging ideas from two different places. They have collaborated with vocalist Fractures and british producer Frameworks, for a melancholic track called "Peaks & Valleys." This marks their second collaboration with Fractures and the first one with Frameworks. Il:lo had been trying to work with a vocalist for a decade, but this experience was different as it was more like a traditional songwriting experience. The result is a track that feels alive, with Fractures' voice blending well with il:lo's sonic tapestry. The track is a blend of dreamy pop and soft deep house, ever-shifting like sand through your fingers. "Myriad" is an EP that challenges the expectations and boundaries of il:lo. The EP still has the undeniable essence of il:lo but pushes them further into a more deep house and danceable sound. The group spent a lot of time searching for the perfect synth preset, which was then carried over to several of the tracks. The result is a coherent sound that unites the EP's varied influences, distinct from their earlier sample-based productions, a sound that they describe as “not as dirty as before”.
