Secrecy is a duo from Copenhagen consisting of Tobias Guldborg Tarp and Emil Zethsen. Their music can be described as a fusion between new wave, synth- and jangle pop, where melodic bass- and guitar melodies meet shivering synths and fragile, yet adamant vocals. Lionheart explores the inevitable feeling of penetrating longing which one must come across at times. It seeks to capture the agony of a lost, hopeless soul, who finds themself imprisoned, either materially or spiritually. Although the song emanates a certain melancholy, there are glimpses of optimism throughout. A reassuring sense that, if only for a moment, one can be liberated from the suffering they are experiencing, no matter the cause.
