“Lawns” is a tribute to the great jazz pianist and composer Carla Bley, who sadly passed away in October 2023. Quote from Carla Bley: My pieces dont try to tell stories, they just do. We absolutely agree and since “Lawns” is, in our opinion, one of her most beautiful compositions, we recorded this cover version. It is a downtempo lounge instrumental piece with a soulful flugelhorn played by Thomas Siffling.
