Maintaining a level of quality most labels can only dream about, Audiomatique has been a breeding ground for some of the hottest new producers of the last decade. Here it’s the turn of Highgrade’s Tom Clark and Jacob Phono to display their wares, collaborating for the first time on this exceptional three tracker. The vibe is very much smoke machines and strobes - 'Last Night' starts out fairly laidback before evolving into a proper underground burner – a dirty synth bass and clattering percussion combine to devastating effect. 'Back In Time' maintains the mood, taking us back to the warehouse vibe of the 80s and 90s. The Berliners have clearly drawn much inspiration from their hometown, a jacking, narcotic, tech-house track for the very early hours. Also included is a firing remix of Last Night from another Highgrade collaborator, Philip Bader. Upping the tempo to 124 BPMs and completely reworking the structure, Bader’s version is a peak-time slam-dunk.
