Hailing from Boston, MA, Bermuda Search Party are an indie rock band made up of Berkley dropouts who foster community and inclusion in their music and live shows. Formally, known as The Q-Tip Bandits, they’ve seen their fanbase growing in their homebase of Massachusetts and the US with an engaged group of core fans leading the way. They are all multi-instrumentalists, drawn to music from a young age and incorporate their innate musicality and love for art into their songs. They've toured across the US and played with Nettwerk artists such as Sammy Rae & the Friends and Meltt as well as playing festivals such as Boston Calling and Green River Festival. Sometimes the littlest things have the greatest power to transport us to a simpler time. “July” is a barefoot walk through fresh cut grass, a windows down drive on a hot summer day, a blurry Polaroid picture rediscovered in the drawer of your childhood bedroom. A song about missing the sweet feeling of an adolescent summer, when the weight of the world seemed just a little bit lighter, and the desire to feel that feeling and freedom once more. Playful, bouncy, and warm, yet with the familiar sting of a salty breeze hitting your eyes, “July” captures the feeling of nostalgia and longing for simpler times wrapped in the rosy blanket of a memory. Initially written on a tattered swing overlooking a sunset in the backyard of singer/bassist Claire Davis’s childhood home, “July” is a song with cozy organic textures sprinkled over a driving rhythm section and an anthemic horn line - one that sounds like the feeling of trying to capture a sunny moment and carry it with you to light the darker moments of your life, just like fireflies in a mason jar.
