It’s been a long time coming, but finally this long awaited EP is ready to be heard and felt around the globe. Our relation to this enigmatic man goes back to 2016, when a certain Marcus Henriksson insisted on us booking him for a legendary Midnight Sun Festival far out in the Lofoten archipelago. Musically we were aware of his deep, eco-friendly take on techno, but little did we know “sparks would fly” also on a personal level. We simply have a deep respect for Toffe, personally and musically. Within his humble appearance lies a timeless power and wisdom, represented in his music with such elegance. This is music from, and for, the thick, mossy Värmland forests, by the bonfire, by a hidden lake. Hydrous takes on the remix duty with honor and charisma. Slowing things down, yet opening up the sound, to a majestic landscape, reminiscent of Microgravity-era Biosphere. Aurora Borealis encapsulated into a contemporary ambient techno sound. This is music for seasons coming and going. For leaves changing colour, for fungi kingdom rising; for long, dark nights, and for lakes freezing. This is the sound of the North.
