In 1978 , after meeting Greg Carmichael and Patrick Adams At New York’s Sunshine Sound, Greg asked me if I wanted to mix his next release and being a new comer to the mix game, of course said “Yes”! I walked into Nola Studio’s , on a Saturday night at 3AM and in the booth was Jocelyn Brown singing “I’m Caught Up (In A One Night Love Affair)”. After the session, I got to speak to her and now, 45 years later, I call her one of my dearest friends and confidants. We have lived an amazing, historical music journey and there is no other singer I'm prouder to have worked with. (Love Ya sis) Now, in 2024, we’ve come full circle revisiting “I’m Caught Up (In a One Night Love Affair)”: a track has taken the better part of a two years for me to complete. I’m working with some of my musical friends to on this project including JKriv (an accomplished musician killed the Bass and guitar parts), Morgan Wiley (keyboardist extraordinaire working with me on keys), Lee England Jr. (working the string section), and of course Jocelyn doing what she does. Along with the support of my Quantize family (Spen, Thommy , & Kelly) we’ve produced a release that I'm proud of and I am sure it will ignite modern dance floors in 2024 like it did when we did it the first time.
