Sophie Francis releases a piano driven ballad titled ‘I Miss Missing You’. The Dutch DJ is making her debut as a singer. The song embodies a personal message that many can relate to. The song was written in collaboration with Jeff Franzel (NYC pianist on tour with legends like Frank Sinatra), US writer Maria Christensen (Celine Dion, Jennifer López, Disney), Dutch hit writers The Companions, James Ericsson and co-produced by The Inner Kids. Lyrically ‘I Miss Missing You’ describes the aftermath of losing someone. The ongoing pandemic and the Christmas season approaching. During the last 2 years our life has been affected at many levels, and many of us are still in lockdowns, or fighting against the effects of this crisis. Adding the emotive Christmas season to all the struggles, I think that all of us miss someone at this moment. Missing loved ones (at all levels), because a breakup, or because they are in hospital, or because they passed away, or because they are far away… because the lockdowns…. Missing friends, those moments of laughter, hugs, dancing, not COVID distance, freedom...
