Where did the wind go? To blow away your words. Poetry turned foe You left me to the breeze. And I blew away. The Sun rise another day The Moon cried in the sky Bled tears so deep That rivers formed behind And the valleys parted the way between us. To leave this Rift alley We stood on the two sides, wondering How did the gap become so far? The wound so deep? How did civilizations grow beneath our peaks? Tribes formed to make tribes. Still we stared. Without moving. Unmoved. But wanting. Praying to the skies Crying into the crops. That one day we might re-meet But how do two Mountains kiss? The valley now carries our cries Our children's children carry our demise. Longing. Yearning. Always wondering why? Never knowing the depths.
