TURBINE MUSIC opens up its portal gates once again with Finnish duo, OUT OF FUEL A bright flash of blue light reveals the widescreen of audio from the duo known as Out of Fuel, moody soundscapes and hypnotic fx’s swirl around the listeners mind, which sets the scene for the visual impact for the Holograms EP. The title track hits with a more stringent 2 steps at the 170 bpm realm. Flavorsome percussion along the telling kick and bass keeps the energy levels at boiling point. Broken Geometry makes the entrance with a gutsy exploration of 165 beats per minute, with effects and subtle synth arpeggios playing the scene alongside the 808 bass, this one hurts, this one is deep. Hot on the heels, Sections steps up the tempo once again, leaning towards a more minimal affair with clever interplay between the bass and percussion. Wave after wave sees the duo team up with Human Two on this mood induced ambience. If you was sat on a cold beach looking out to see with nothing but a transistor radio and your thoughts ticking over and over, you would be halfway there. A serious piece of music. Event Horizons see them bookend this EP in more familiar surroundings. Big kicks over a low slung bassline with tickles of percussion and keys. Its a pleasure to have Out of Fuel on Turbine Music.
