Syato is a Filipino band that released a self-titled, full-length album in 2005 as a signed artist of Ivory Music. In 2008, it released a sophomore album effort "Sticking By" distributed by Candid Records. Both albums of all originals sare now in digital stores under Ivory's digital arm Enterphil. Two of their songs, "Scorpio" and "Kailanman" charted on MYX Pinoy Countdown, while "Tibo" reached #2 on a provincial chart, and "Panaginip Lamang" was used as theme for the final episode of Your Song featuring Kim Chiu. The group, which underwent personnel changes save for founding member, journalist-songwriter Yugel Losorata, has collaborated with other artists in some of their digital singles in the 2010s, especially with rapper Blanktape whom they worked with on four recordings. Syato's new song, "Ewan Ko," first since their last pre-pandemic release in 2019, features guest singer Noela Amparo who has previously collaborated with Losorata for her debut single. Losorata, who's now in the United States, penned the song seen by insiders as a good vehicle for Noela's voice. The track is also a re-introduction of the band which hopes to reactivate outside the Philippine shores.
