Jack River is the moniker of writer, entrepreneur, and musician Holly Rankin. As a 3X ARIA + APRA nominated artist, Jack River has established her place in Australia’s indie-pop scene & is poised to make waves globally with her new set of music. The song “Endless Summer” has a retro ‘70s feel, inspired by the one and only Beach Boys (with a nod to their album of the same name) and an undeniable Jack River stamp with spoken-word plus dreamy production. Holly says that “the Beach Boys were making music in an era full of societal turmoil, but their music gave people a place to forget it all and take a mental holiday…I just want this to be a perfectly wonderful world to escape to on a summer's day with the windows down.” The song also features the talented Ghanaian-Australian artist Genesis Owusu, who lends his soulful voice to the track & was co-produced by Matt Corby (Tash Sultana, Sia). Alongside her career as an artist, Holly Rankin is also a successful promoter, having founded and built two festival brands- Grow Your Own & Electric Lady, as part of her company Hopeless Utopian - focusing on empowering and highlighting womxn artists.
