John Hayes is a multi-instrumentalist and producer from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Hayes previously performed regularly as the resident pianist for the award-winning Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. John currently writes, records and produces music out of his studio in Denver, Colorado. Speaking on the creative process behind his song "Dyad", Hayes shares, "this song definitely took quite a few cracks to finally get right. It really is a track of two different halves. The first half, more atmospheric with the main riff coming from my Juno and the bass line coming from my Moog Minitaur. I really liked the idea that came out of the first half, but after some toying with the arrangement, I decided to do something quite different during the second half of the track. To separate the two sections, the track has quite a long breakdown, but that was something I really wanted to include to build some tension and anticipation going into the more energetic second half."
