Written after a long period of sadness following his mothers death, during which he struggled to create anything. 'I’m not a religious person but when you lose someone you don’t know how to live without, you are forced to think about what and who we are, where we go and eventually come to accept that we are all just part of an unstoppable and beautiful cycle that keeps on turning, it’s only our tiny part which comes to an end. We go back to dust, but our energy keeps on swirling. It’s a bit serious and existential'. 'My studio backs on to where my mum lived the last year of her life. I used to hear her talking to friends on the phone while I was working in there. I found it difficult to go in to the studio for many months after she died, so didn’t have access to all my modular gear. The majority of this EP has therefore been written on my laptop, which has given it a different feel to my other more glitchy, analogue stuff'.
