Like other European players and some of those in the USA, E.M.T. plays with humor as a valid, serious emotion, which it is. The effect of this type of improvisation is not at all pretentious, but indeed, very successful, Johansson also adds some nice colors by bowing his cymbals and Harth and/or Van den Plas dialogue and solo.
