Bump City
Jazz Rosco is more than one person, one group, or one genre of music. It is a collaboration of world-class musicians brought together by the passion of keyboardist & producer Roger Smith and is kicking off summer with its new single “Bump City”. This track invites everyone to let loose and groove to the beat on the dance floor with a vibrant blend of catchy melodies, infectious rhythms, and playful harmonies. This deep and smooth groove track captures the lively energy and upbeat vibes of a summertime block party, making it the perfect soundtrack for a night of carefree fun and unforgettable moments. This single is the second of many that Jazz Rosco has planned for release this year. Roger Smith is working with all musicians in the Jazz Rosco family to continue releasing singles throughout 2024, all independently released. With elements of progressive jazz, Latin, funk, soul, and R&B, Jazz Rosco captures a one-of-a-kind blend of infectious grooves, mesmerizing solos, and a wide range of talents under one musical umbrella. Smith, the masterful keyboardist of Tower of Power, started the collective with two goals - one, to honor a fellow veteran’s friendship through a shared love of music and two, to create one space for fabulous musicians to get their music heard. Roger Smith and his longtime friend-in-wine and business partner, Mike Smolich are owners of Bump City Wine Co. (BCW), with a public tasting room located at The Old Sugar Mill, about a 20-minute drive south of Sacramento, in Clarksburg, California. Established in 2014, BCW sources most of its grapes from the renowned wine region of Sonoma, CA. With several varietals and many award-winning wines over the years, two of its very exclusive wines is a Reserve Zinfandel and a Reserve Barbera for which Roger created a special label called Jazz Rosco!
